• 8 Lessons

    In 8 weeks all facets of organizing a modern event are thematically highlighted. From concept, location to music programming, content marketing and production. Various Dance industry professionals from companies like Awakenings, Mysteryland and many others tell about their specialism and share their vision. The inspiring guest lessons are always concluded with a Q & A with the students.

  • Assignment + Accreditation

    Participants work out their own event concept in groups, and pitch this in the final lesson. This can be for instance to organise a festival, Techno rave, or smaller thematic club party. With your group you will work on the event pitch during the course. In the 9th lesson every group will have 10 minutes to present the concept. Successful participation in the lessons and assignment is rewarded with our Acknowledged certificate.

  • Jobs & Network

    Aside from industry knowledge, Next Stage opens up an extensive network and possibilities to generate work experience, internships and jobs for the most talented participants. Our students already work at events like DGTL, ID&T and music companies like Beatport, Universal and various labels. We help with career strategy, connecting the right people and starting up your company.

Jan Maarten is founder and head teacher of Next Stage, the first education platform on Dance & Electronic Music culture in the Netherlands. Jan Maarten has 20 years of experience in organizing events and teaches organizing Dance events, marketing & ticketing and building professional artist careers. Aside teaching and moderating, Jan Maarten also coaches talents with their career to help them make the right choices and connections.
